Experienced edit producer and lighting camera operator
Over the last 15 years I've built a career in broadcast television and have worked as a producer and director, filming and edit producing prime time documentaries for all the major UK networks. Some of the productions I've directed include the BAFTA nominated and RTS winning series 'The Dog House' for Channel 4, 'Reported Missing' and 'Murder 24/7' for BBC1 and BBC2.
An interest in the natural world led me to a career in film making and wildlife remains a keen interest. I have worked on natural history programmes including 'Wales: Land of the Wild' (BBC) and 'Yellowstone Live' (Nat Geo). I've been a qualified drone operator for 10 years and am experienced with complicated shoots, including with talent, blue light filming, and indoors.
I take commissions through my brand, Stonechat Media for all non broadcast work.

Includes: The Secret Life of the Zoo (CH4), Wales: Land of the Wild (BBC), Yellowstone Live (Nat Geo), Marine Mammal Project
Includes: Reported Missing (BBC), Murder 24/7 (BBC), 999 What's Your Emergency? (CH4)

I was commissioned to film and edit a short film with Iolo Williams raising awareness about seal disturbance and promoting safe ways to watch seals around the UK coastline. The film was produced in both Welsh and English, and has been shared widely across a number of social media platforms.
'Myles is an excellent film-maker whose passion and knowledge of the natural world comes across in everything he does'
- Iolo Williams, Wildlife Presenter
This short film offers an overview of the work of ecologists studying marine mammals on Bardsey Island in North Wales. It has served as a visual tool to help the charity gain further funding for exciting new research carried out on the island.
'Our project was delighted with the videos produced by Stonechat Media. The attention to detail, along with meeting the challenge of working on an island was impressive. We would certainly recommend Myles to any other groups looking for such outputs.'
- Mick Green FCIEEM, Bardsey Marine Mammal Project
Stonechat Media can provide a full production service, from the initial concept and script writing through to delivering an edited film shot on broadcast quality equipment, using professional sound, lighting equipment and aerial footage.

I use the Mavic 4 Pro Creator drone, which can film in a professional 6K, all-i, codec. The DJI Mini 4 Pro drone is available when a smaller drone is needed for safety. A DJI Power 500 battery station allows on location charging for all day flying.

I am insured for commercial work and hold an A2CofC qualification. My experience spans across a decade, flying drones for broadcast work, filming presenters, emergency services, wildlife and indoor spaces.

I offer free consultations for aerial filming, where I can discuss the best way to achieve your goals. If you use my services I will complete a thorough risk assessment and shoot plan.
